The Association of American Kitchen and Tabletop Manufacturers AAKTM is formed of a group of industry leaders all dedicated to revitalizing American manufacturing within our industry sector.

Our Mission and Objectives
Purpose: To share and identify issues that are important to the industry and then take actions to promote improvements to the business climate for members.
1. Lobbying promotion of the kitchen and tabletop industry at the federal level:
a. Trade policy and other issues involving dumping, tariffs specific to member companies as well as larger issues such as currency misalignment and international tax policies.
b. Facilitate meetings with Congressional representation on company/industry issues
c. Workforce and workforce development
d. Environmental issues. Assistance with compliance as well as input on the impact of legislation on specific company related maters.
e. Information on available grants and financing opportunities for expansion of existing lines or re-shoring of production
f. Government contracts with the military and other non military government procurement arms
g. Assistance in networking with organizations that can provide assistance with legal issues including: Dumping by foreign competition, IP theft, False made in America claims, as well as Retail industry issues.
h. Interaction and cooperation with other groups that share similar goals and can collaborate to form a stronger voice and better outcome.
2. Supply chain development and reshoring of product categories that have been lost over decades of outsourcing by major brands.
a. Identify products and product categories that have been lost to foreign competition
b. Identify opportunities to re-shore production of certain products
c. Assist in the development of the supply chain
i. Raw materials
ii. Sub assembly
iii. Tooling
iv. Other components
v. Capital expenditure financing and grants
u. connecting manufactures with online as well brick and mortar retailers

Our strength lies in our relationship with other members as well as our close work with other organizations that lift above their weight in Washington. We are all working towards a common goal, to build our businesses and bring manufacturing back to American soil.
